Restoring Homes and Preserving Memories: Kerr County, Texas Flood Response

We’ve wrapped up our work on two homes in Kerr County, Texas, where recent floods left homeowners facing not just physical damage but the loss of decades of memories.

When we first arrived at Will’s home, mud covered floors and waterlogged walls told the story of the storm’s impact. Our team cleared thick layers of mud and debris from the most affected areas, helping Will take the first step toward recovery.

At LA’s home, the devastation extended beyond floors and walls. LA built every cabinet by hand and filled the rooms with memories he shared with his wife, who he lost just a year ago. Our team carefully salvaged what we could, preserving his wife’s wedding dress, hand stitched quilts, and irreplaceable family photos.

While our work on Will and LA’s homes marks an important milestone, our team continues moving forward, supporting more homeowners still facing the aftermath of the floods. Each home we restore is more than walls and floors. It is the preservation of memories, hope, and the foundation for a community to rebuild.
