Humanitarian aid reaches families for the first time in North Gaza

AH&H humanitarian aid reached some of the most isolated displacement camps of North Gaza, delivering hygiene kits, solar lamps, and blankets to over 1,800 families in Jabaliya and Beit Lahia.

For months, communities in North Gaza have been largely cut off from humanitarian assistance. In Jabaliya and Beit Lahia, families told our local partners this was the first aid they had received since the escalation began.

In recent weeks, we supported the delivery of critical Gaza humanitarian aid to some of the hardest-to-reach areas in the north.

In Jabaliya, 829 families received essential supplies, including:

  • Hygiene kits to help prevent illness
  • Solar lamps to provide light and phone charging amid prolonged power outages or electricity is nonexistent
  • Blankets for warmth during cold nights

Families shared that basic amenities like soap, light and warmth had become nearly impossible to access.

Beit Lahia: Where Almost No Aid Has Reached

In Beit Lahia, one of the northernmost areas of Gaza, aid access has been especially limited. Through this distribution, nearly 1,000 families received humanitarian assistance, many after years with no outside support.

In parts of North Gaza, humanitarian aid has been scarce or entirely absent. These distributions are finally getting to families who have been repeatedly overlooked.

We continue working with trusted local partners to deliver life-saving Gaza aid wherever access is possible.
