AH&H Helping Keep Gaza’s Only Animal Shelter Operational

Sulala Animal Rescue remains the only animal shelter operating in Gaza, providing continuous care for injured, abandoned, and displaced pets. Through our ongoing support, AH&H Gaza team continues to deliver shipments of food, medical care, and structural supplies to keep these vulnerable animals safe.

At Sulala Animal Rescue (Gaza’s only operational animal shelter) mornings begin with feeding, cleaning, and medical rounds to ensure every dog and cat in their care is safe and nourished. Saeed Al Err and his dedicated team work tirelessly to protect animals that have been injured, abandoned, or separated from their families.

Keeping the shelter open under current conditions is an extraordinary challenge. Basic necessities are exceedingly difficult to source in Gaza, from daily food supplies and maintenance materials to specialized veterinary care for sick and injured animals.

To help sustain this important work, AH&H partnered with the Hachiko Foundation to directly support Sulala’s daily operations.

For Sulala alone, getting these supplies in Gaza is extremely difficult, but every supply delivery supports a key part of the shelter’s daily operations.

By supporting Sulala, AH&H is helping a local team that already has the experience, trust, and knowledge needed to care for these animals. As getting basic supplies stays difficult in Gaza, we will keep supporting them to protect the animals that depend on them.
