The need remains staggering. One million people are living in tents, overcrowded shelters, or in the open. 637,000 children are out of school. Unemployment stands near 85%. Against that backdrop, here is what we accomplished together — truck by truck, kit by kit, family by family.
Shelter & Essentials: Restoring Safety & Dignity
A tarp over a damaged roof. A blanket in winter. Light after dark. Across six months we distributed 20,000 emergency shelter solutions and the essentials that make displacement survivable — 20,474 jerry cans, 16,368 hygiene kits, 12,880 blankets, 8,000 tarps, 5,809 solar lights, and 650 tents — reaching all four areas of the Gaza Strip.
Fairness takes fieldwork. Before a single tent went up, six social workers assessed 1,052 nominated families in seven days, so every tent went to a family with the greatest need.
Shelter and essential item distributions reached families across North Gaza, Gaza City, the Middle Area, and Khan Younis.
Combating Malnutrition, Child by Child
Screening comes first. Our teams and health partners screen children for malnutrition, distribute ready-to-use therapeutic supplements, and educate caregivers on their proper use — under medical supervision, with regular follow-up. Together, we distributed 176 pallets of therapeutic nutrition supplements: over 1.16 million meal equivalents reaching 36,894 people, roughly 80% of them children.

Keeping the Kitchens Cooking
Food insecurity in Gaza remains acute, so we answered on several fronts at once. We kept five community kitchens cooking with firewood and rice, serving 9,840 people every day — over 206,000 family-sized meals in total. And we hand-delivered 7,007 fresh food kits, each 7–9 kg of fresh produce, reaching 34,000 people wherever they are through trusted local partners.
For 670 children in Gaza City’s camps, Hamada’s Mobile Kitchen offered more than a warm meal. It offered comfort, care, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.

Strengthening Lifesaving Healthcare
Gaza’s health system is under sustained strain, and we helped keep the doors open. We facilitated the entry of 57 pallets of essential medical supplies and medicines, moving them to trusted health partners — International Medical Corps, Project HOPE, Al-Ahli Hospital, and NECC — for distribution to clinics and hospitals across Gaza.

Helping Children Reclaim Their Future
For children, recovery means learning and play. We supported 13 learning spaces and education initiatives, providing 700 tarps and sealing-off kits to cover damaged roofs and open walls, and school bags for 5,000 children. Alongside local partners, we helped transform summer camps into safe spaces of hope, learning, and joy, bringing musical and recreational activities to children who have carried too much.

Turning Appeals Into Action
When a family calls for help, the turnaround is measured in hours, not days. When 208 households in Al Anan Camp called for support, we delivered 352 tarps and 505 jerry cans. When a storm tore through a learning space in the south, five tarps had classes running again. When the Al Emawi family needed to start over, we arrived with kitchen sets, tarps, jerry cans, and blankets. We were also among the first responders delivering aid into North Gaza supporting one of the few operational kitchens in Jabalia.

Recovery That Grows Within
Recovery looks like a whole community. We helped Sulala, Gaza’s only animal shelter, restore its facility and continue caring for rescued animals, providing essential shelter materials, pet food, and life-saving veterinary medicines. Our support extends beyond the shelter itself, helping vulnerable families care for their pets through veterinary services, guidance, and essential supplies.

Much Has Been Done. The Needs Remain Vast.
Twenty-two thousand households reached is a number we are proud of — and one still dwarfed by what Gaza needs next. In the months ahead, we will expand shelter and housing support, ensure educational continuity, and invest in the livelihoods that let recovery grow from within. That includes agriculture: we are supporting Gaza’s farmers with seeds and essential supplies — so families can begin to grow their own food again and local supply chains can rebuild. Our commitment remains the same: to stand with people in their most difficult moments.
