AH&H delivers 6 tons of medicine into Gaza, plus blankets, lamps & more

Two weeks into the new year, All Hands & Hearts and partners are delivering essential humanitarian aid across Gaza, including medicines, fresh produce, solar lamps, and blankets, helping hundreds of thousands of families get through harsh winter conditions in displacement camps.

Two weeks into the new year, Gaza is facing some of the coldest and darkest days of winter. All Hands & Hearts and our partners have been steadfast in bringing in what’s most needed right now, continuing our humanitarian aid distributions across the destruction in Gaza City and displacement camps in both the south and north, where we’re still reaching hundreds of thousands of families who are living in tents.

Have a closer look at our most recent distributions below and how each one is making a difference for families right now.

In the past weeks, we were able to bring in thousands of first aid kits and water purification tablets, donated by Slovakia, through the Cyprus Maritime Corridor, a critical pathway for humanitarian aid made possible with the support of trusted partners on the ground.

AH&H is proud to play a role in ensuring this aid reaches health facilities and communities where it’s most urgently needed, working alongside Project HOPE and International Medical Corps (IMC) to move supplies safely and efficiently.

Along with these, we delivered more than 2.3 million doses of essential medicines and medical supplies (totaling 5.9 tons!) to a health facility in Gaza operated by IMC.

Among the shipments are medications that:

  • prevent and treat dehydration with oral rehydration solutions.
  • support safe surgery through anesthesia;
  • help prevent organ rejection with immunosuppressant therapy;
  • relieve acute breathing distress for people with asthma;
  • manage pain and inflammation;
  • support mental health care;
  • treat serious bacterial infections with injectable antibiotics; and,
  • help people manage chronic conditions like cardiovascular disease.

While access to basic food staples is becoming easier, fresh produce is still incredibly hard to obtain for families in Gaza. As a result, most who are living in displacement camps are not receiving adequate nutrition.

Over the past several weeks, AH&H and local partners have distributed thousands more fresh fruit and vegetable bundles to displaced families in camps across southern Gaza, as well as to families living in the widespread destruction in Gaza City.

We’re proud to report that, to date, over 700,000 pounds of fresh produce have been distributed! We’re so close to reaching 1 million pounds, and with your support, we can continue expand access to fresh food throughout the winter ahead.

Last week, we delivered 1,000 solar lamps, 1,000 warm blankets and 600 hygiene kits to families living in tents in Khan Younis displacement camp, small items that become essential as the sun sets as early as 5 PM and cold days turn to colder nights. The lamps also double as charging stations for phones and other devices, helping bring back accessibility and connection for families enduring displacement.
