Latest U.S. Flooding Updates
The risk of life-threatening flooding in the Mississippi Valley has escalated, with a rare level 4 of 4 high-risk flood warning now in effect for three consecutive days—Thursday through Saturday. This level of flooding threat is uncommon outside of hurricane season and has historically caused the majority of flood-related damage and fatalities.
Arkansas remains at the center of the highest risk, with parts of Missouri, Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Illinois, Indiana and Oklahoma also in the flood zone. Communities in these areas should prepare for significant impacts as extreme rainfall continues.
