In response to the 2021 tornado outbreak, AHAH provided recovery assistance across Kentucky, including mucking, debris removal, and emergency roof repairs.

Tornado Outbreak Brings Historic Devastation Across Kentucky
From late in the evening on December 10 to the morning of December 11, 2022, a tornado outbreak occurred across several midwest states. The event has been classified with a EF-4 rating with wind speeds of up to 200mph leaving a trail of devastation across vast areas in Kentucky. One of the tornadoes broke historical records being the deadliest and furthest traveled at over 200 miles.
The “Quad state tornado” caused devastating damage. It is estimated 3,000 homes were damaged in Kentucky alone and caused 57 fatalities along with over 500 people injured.
Our Response
Providing Immediate Relief to Communities Impacted by the Kentucky Tornadoes
All Hands and Hearts deployed a Disaster Assessment Response Team (DART) as soon as it was safe to do so, with boots on the ground just three days after the tornadoes struck. The teams moved towards the hardest hit area of Mayfield and the surrounding communities of Bowling Green and Dawson Springs.
We had teams on the ground supporting in the emotional task of sifting through debris and packing up salvageable belongings with homeowners, as well as assessing much needed chainsaw work. Our chainsaw teams were mobilized to Mayfield, Dawson Springs and the surrounding areas. Partnering with Team Rubicon, we provided immediate relief to the communities, completing 27 sites as of January 5, 2022.
