At All Hands & Hearts (AH&H), our mission to serve communities impacted by disasters pairs with a commitment to creating an environment where everyone can thrive. As we expand our global impact, we are intentionally breaking down barriers to ensure our volunteer and staff communities reflect the diversity of the world we serve.
Inside What We Do
AH&H aims to strengthen the foundation of equity and care within our own teams. We reinforced our commitment to well-being and safety with policies and staff training developed in partnership with RAINN, the United States’ largest anti-sexual violence organization. We provide access to wellness support through Stress and Resilience Training, Staff Care for Managers, and free, confidential therapy offered by internal mental health professionals. Regular well-being check-ins and the creation of BIPOC and Queer/Ally Collective resource groups offer space for connection and support across the organization.

“I have chosen to work for AH&H five times already, and I couldn’t have made a better decision. I’m thrilled to work for an organization that promotes well-being and has such remarkable individuals that people look up to as role models.” — Cristy, Corporate Relations Manager
Taking Care of Our Community
AH&H develops and implements extensive safeguarding measures for volunteers and staff, as well as a specific support plan for the communities we work alongside. We’ve implemented robust safeguarding measures tailored especially for higher-risk populations such as displaced individuals and refugees, where we train our teams on how to handle delicate situations with utmost clarity and respect.

“I like working with AH&H because it doesn’t matter if I have to stay longer to finish a report, or go onsite on a Sunday to pour concrete, I will do it happily knowing that I helped change things for the better — at least a little bit.” — Lyes, Business Analyst
