Update from Gaza: AH&H continues delivering fresh produce, tarps, blankets, solar lamps, and warm clothes for kids

In less than three months of operation, AH&H has distributed 40,000 bundles of fresh vegetables and fruit (675,000 pounds worth), 45,000 tarps, 50,000 hygiene kits, 3,100 units of UHT milk and infant formula, to families in Gaza, reaching an estimated 414,000 people. We have also provided 680,000 sachets of RUSF for the treatment of moderate acute malnutrition in children, warm clothing for kids, blankets, solar lamps, and medicine for field hospitals.

Throughout the final weeks of 2025, our team and partners in Gaza continued daily humanitarian aid distributions to ensure families were supported with fresh fruits and vegetables, hygiene supplies, warm winter clothing and blankets, shelter material for reinforcing and repairing tents, solar lamps, and more.

On Christmas Day, our team was honored to spend time with children and families at Holy Family Catholic Church in Gaza City. We brought 2,000 fresh produce bundles, along with special tasty treats and gifts for the children to play with.

While food staples are very accessible in Gaza right now, fresh produce remains expensive and impossible for most families to afford. This means children living in camps are not getting the nutrition they need.

In the last few weeks, we have delivered thousands of fresh fruit and vegetable bundles to displaced families living in camps in southern Gaza, and those living amidst the devastation of Gaza City.

To date, we have distributed 675,000 pounds of fresh produce. With your help, we can reach 1 million pounds!

In crowded living conditions, maintaining basic hygiene is essential for preventing illness and protecting dignity. Yet many families lack access to even the most basic supplies.

Last week, we distributed:

  • 10,000 additional hygiene kits, each kit supporting a family of five.

Each kit, provided by our friends at Project Hope, contains items such as soap, toothbrushes, toilet paper, wipes, towels, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products, and other daily essentials.

These kits help families care for themselves and their children while reducing health risks during an already overwhelming period.

As temperatures drop, children are especially vulnerable to the cold. Many families do not have adequate winter clothing, increasing the risk of illness.

Last week, we provided:

  • 2,500 winter coats, jackets and sweatshirts for children across camps in Gaza.

This week, we delivered the first of thousands of solar lamps and warm blankets to families living in tents in Southern Gaza. The lights can also be used to charge devices like phones, and were a huge hit in the camps — especially with the sun going down early in the winter.
