In Hunt, Texas, flood damage has left deep marks on the community, from Camp Mystic to the surrounding valley. Our volunteer Peter shared that the scale of destruction is overwhelming and a reminder of just how urgently help is needed. Recovery doesn’t happen overnight, but each step forward brings families closer to rebuilding.

Right now, our team is working alongside Bonnie, a homeowner whose house was heavily impacted by the flooding. Together, we’re helping her sort through personal belongings, begin the gutting process and clear out what cannot be saved. These early stages of recovery are both emotional and essential.

From removing insulation to cleaning damaged floors, every task prepares the home for mold sanitation and the rebuilding that comes next. With each effort, we’re supporting Bonnie and her neighbors in their journey toward safety, stability and a sense of normalcy once again.
