AH&H supported recovery in St. Louis following tornado damage, helping with debris removal and home repairs to restore safe living conditions.

Tornadoes Cause Severe Damage Across Central and Southwest Missouri

On the night of May 22, 2019, central Missouri was part of a severe weather outbreak that extended into southwest Missouri. One of the strongest tornadoes of the night was the EF3 tornado that went through Jefferson City. The Golden City and Carl Junction tornadoes were rated EF3 with maximum winds near 140 mph.

Our Response

Rapid Response Efforts Underway in Carl Junction Missouri

Our team completed assessments and identified a need within our scope of work in Carl Junction, Missouri. We’re conducting a Rapid Response, including skilled chainsaw work and debris removal, with our field team of experienced volunteers.

Additionally, we’re continuing to monitor the flooding in Oklahoma as mandatory evacuations and water rescues are ongoing. The situation remains fluid and unclear at the moment; the DART team is on standby with the state to see how we can best support as the immediate needs are currently being addressed for the safety of the community.
