When Hurricane Isaias struck the Florida Panhandle on October 9, 2026, it left families across Escambia, Santa Rosa, and Walton counties facing immediate emergencies. Entire neighborhoods lost power, homes were damaged, and massive fallen trees blocked roads and driveways.
In Pensacola, mobile home parks and local neighborhoods took the brunt of the storm. Families were suddenly left in the dark, without essential medical equipment or power, while their yards became dangerous hazard zones overnight.
Our team went straight to work in Pensacola, Pace, Cantonment, and Milton to deliver fast relief and direct support to the families who needed it most.

Delivering Power, Light, and Direct Financial Relief
Living without power makes everyday life hard and unsafe, especially for families taking care of children, seniors, or loved ones with special needs. Thanks to our partners at Amazon and donors, our team distributed key supplies like generators, solar lamps, and tarps to cover damaged roofs.
We made sure every delivery went where it was needed most:
- Keeping the Power On: In Milton, we brought a generator to Marilyn, her husband, and their grandson. Her grandson is disabled and unable to leave the house, so having steady power for essential equipment and his health was critical.
- Saving What Matters: In Cantonment, Todd and Amanda were without power for nearly a week. They lost all their food, and their saltwater fish tank was in danger without power. We brought them a generator, fuel, a solar lamp, and emergency cash so they could restock their fridge and get back on their feet.
- Direct Financial Aid: In addition to physical supplies, we gave cash directly to families. This gave them the power to buy their own food, medicine, and key supplies as they began to recover.
Hands-On Debris Management & Chainsaw Operations
Beyond immediate power needs, heavy tree damage left many families trapped or dealing with dangerous property hazards. Our chainsaw and pole saw teams, working alongside partner organizations, have been clearing massive fallen trees and restoring safety to residential yards site by site.

Stories from the Ground
- Clearing the Way for April’s Family & Animal Rescue: In Pensacola, a massive oak tree crashed into April’s backyard, damaging part of her roof and taking over the entire space. As a disabled resident whose husband works as an essential worker, taking on the cleanup alone wasn’t an option, especially with the added responsibility of caring for rescue animals. Our team spent an entire day carefully cutting through the tree section by section, and making the yard safe again so they could begin repairing their roof and fence.
- Supporting Single-Parent Families in Pace: In neighborhoods across Pace, Florida—home to many single-income households like Mathew’s, a single father—massive trees crushed cars and tore through roofs. Our teams stepped in to clear debris and remove fallen hazards to help these families safely start rebuilding.
To date, our chainsaw teams have been working steadily through a growing queue of sites, completing safety assessments and clearing hazards so families can take their first steps toward normalcy.
The Road Ahead
Rebuilding after a disaster takes teamwork, community resilience, and sustained support. As our teams continue clearing sites and providing relief, we remain dedicated to standing beside Florida residents throughout their recovery.
