August 8, 2024 - 10:00 (EDT) - Update 9

Heavy rainfall across the Carolinas is expected to persist through today along areas with considerable flooding. All Hands and Hearts is assessing Tropical Storm Debby’s impacts and preparing a DART to respond as soon as it is safe.

August 7, 2024 - 11:15 (EDT) - Update 8

Debby is crawling northeast near 5 mph with a general northward motion expected later today. It is projected to make landfall overnight between Charleston and Myrtle Beach, North Carolina. Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 60 mph with higher gusts.

As we continue to monitor the trajectory and impacts of Tropical Storm Debby, All Hands and Hearts is preparing to deploy a DART to the affected areas.

August 6, 2024 - 13:00 (EDT) - Update 7

Debby is projected to bring historic rainfall to a wide region spanning Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and even other mid-Atlantic states. All Hands and Hearts is sending a DART to the affected area as soon as it is safe to do so.

August 6, 2024 - 6:15 (EDT) - Update 6

Debby is currently located inland over southeastern Georgia but is expected to move northeast. A slow-moving storm at only 6 mph, the center of Debby is projected to move offshore later today. Potentially historic rainfall is forecast across Georgia, eastern South Carolina and North Carolina through Friday bringing potentially catastrophic flooding along the Atlantic coastline.

August 5, 2024 - 17:00 (EDT) - Update 5

Debby has been downgraded to a Tropical Storm as it has moved further inland near the Florida/Georgia border. The storm surge warning along the Florida Gulf Coast has been discontinued. However, there is a major flood threat for the southeastern United States for the next several days.

All Hands and Hearts is closely monitoring this storm and its impacts.

August 5, 2024 - 12:00 (EDT) - Update 4

Debby is moving toward the north-northeast near 8 mph with a gradual decrease in forward speed. Maximum sustained winds are near 70 mph with higher gusts.

August 5, 2024 - 8:15 (EDT) - Update 3

Hurricane Debby has slowed in speed but increased in strength as now a Category 1 Hurricane. It is moving toward the north-northeast near 10 mph. Maximum sustained winds are near 75 mph with higher gusts.

August 3, 2024 - 20:15 (EDT) - Update 2

Tropical Storm Debby is moving northwest near 14 mph and is expected to slow over the next few hours. The center of Debby will move across the southeastern and eastern Gulf of Mexico, reaching the Florida Gulf coast late Sunday or Monday.

August 2, 2024 - 11:15 (EDT) - Update 1

A tropical disturbance has formed near Cuba moving west-northwest at around 16 mph. This is expected to develop into a tropical depression over the weekend, possibly intensifying into a tropical storm. Tropical storm conditions are expected in southwest Florida where warnings have been issued. Our Fort Myers, Florida team has begun preparations for the oncoming storm.
