Ian first volunteered with All Hands and Hearts in 2007 at Project Pisco, Peru and subsequently at Project Rayenda (2008) and Project Sungai Geringging (2009). He is also Chairman of the trustees of All Hands Volunteers Trust (UK) and helps coordinate the activities of the All Hands Euro-Council.

Following an eclectic mix of initial ‘adventures’, Ian has spent his professional career in Creative Marketing Services and Advertising. Following the disposal of his first agency in the early-nineties, he spent time working with Carlson Companies Inc in Minnesota. He is currently Chairman of two companies – Hotcake Marketing, a digital advertising agency, and Tynan D’Arcy, a brand design consultancy. He has  gained experience  working with global clients in all categories of consumer marketing on some of the world’s most famous brands.
